Aline Dib

City Councillor for Saint-Martin since 2013, Aline Dib holds a Bachelor’s degree in Education from the Université du Québec à Montréal (UQAM), as well as a university degree in Human Resources Management and a graduate diploma in the management of social and collective enterprises. Her academic background has enabled her to strengthen her management skills in both complex situations and strategic initiatives. Drawing on her experience as an elected municipal official and her professionalism, she plays an active role in the city’s development and in bringing key projects to fruition.

As the elected official responsible for the social development portfolio, Aline is deeply committed to advancing numerous initiatives aimed at improving the well-being of residents while promoting the City’s Social Development Program. As Chair of the Public Relations Co-ordination Commission, she actively supports local community organizations. She is also responsible for the intercultural diversity portfolio, where she fosters collaboration and innovation to strengthen social cohesion. Through her work on the City’s Governance Commission, she continues to demonstrate excellence in governance while remaining true to her core values of commitment, dedication, transparency, and integrity, always with the goal of improving residents’ quality of life and advocating for their interests.

Her volunteer involvement spans a variety of social causes and local organizations, including the annual food drive organized by the Society of Saint Vincent de Paul and the Seniors’ Club. Among the accomplishments of which she is particularly proud are the creation of the Saint-Martin National Holiday celebration and her oversight of numerous street resurfacing and neighbourhood beautification projects. Aline is committed to acting with honesty and maintaining an open dialogue with residents. Her principles are rooted in open-mindedness, transparency, respect for others, and community service. As the mother of two daughters, she firmly believes in the positive influence of youth within our society. She remains deeply committed to supporting young people and has made it her mission to help them grow in knowledge and thrive in our beautiful city.
