A passionate entrepreneur and citizen dedicated to his community, Stéphane Boyer had several years of experience in the fields of education and project management before embarking on a political career in 2011.

Recognized as the top elected municipal official in the 35-and-under age group by the Union des municipalités du Québec in the spring of 2016, he was also named one of the 50 global leaders of tomorrow by the French diplomatic network in 2017.

With a wealth of experience in various public and private organizations, including the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime, as well as the House of Commons, Mr. Boyer aspires to use his professional background to transform Laval into an innovative city, where civic engagement, sustainable development and the economy thrive in concert.

As an entrepreneur, Boyer has turned his vision into reality by creating a mobile application aimed at making healthcare services more accessible in Quebec through the use of open data. He has also been actively involved in various projects, including writing a captivating book about his experience in South Africa entitled “Un monde de différences,” published in 2009. In addition, he led the “Marcher le Québec pour l’autisme” initiative, during which he walked over 1,100 km from Percé Rock to Mount Royal to raise awareness and funds for people affected by autism.
