Passionate entrepreneur and dedicated community leader, Stéphane Boyer accumulated several years of experience in education and project management before beginning his political career in 2011.
Recognized as the Outstanding Municipal Elected Official Under 35 by the Union des municipalités du Québec in the spring of 2016, he was also named one of the 50 Global Leaders of Tomorrow by the French diplomatic network in 2017.
Drawing on extensive experience gained through various public and private organizations, including the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime and the House of Commons of Canada, Mr. Boyer is committed to leveraging his professional background to transform Laval into an innovative city where civic engagement, sustainable development, and economic prosperity advance hand in hand.
Entrepreneur Boyer brought his vision to life by developing a mobile application designed to improve access to healthcare services in Quebec through the use of open data. He has also been actively involved in a variety of initiatives, including authoring a compelling book about his experience in South Africa, entitled A World of Difference, published in 2009. In addition, he led the Marcher le Québec pour l’autisme project, an initiative during which he walked more than 1,100 kilometres from Percé Rock to Mount Royal, raising awareness and mobilizing funds for individuals and families affected by autism.
