Mohamed Bâ

Mohamed has lived in Chomedey for more than 20 years. It is where he went to school, built lifelong friendships, and established his life. He knows the streets, the schools, and the parks—but above all, he knows the people. He understands what it means to live here. It is this deep connection to the neighbourhood that inspires him to become involved in the Le Carrefour district today.

He has always been committed to giving back to his community. As a School Commissioner from 2014 to 2020, he advocated for families and worked to ensure that every student had the opportunity to succeed. He is also the founder of Élan politique jeunesse, a Laval-based organization that helps young people become active participants in their community. Through his leadership, hundreds of students have discovered the many ways they can engage and make a difference in their neighbourhood.

As a manager with the City of Laval’s Environment Department, Mohamed coordinated major greening initiatives. He worked closely with residents, businesses, and community organizations to make neighbourhoods greener, cooler, and more people-centred. His collaborative and down-to-earth approach earned him a reputation as a respected community builder.

Mohamed wants Laval residents living in Chomedey to feel truly at home in their neighbourhood. For him, the heart of the district lies with the people who raise their families there, grow older there, and live there every day. He is committed to helping build a city that genuinely offers an exceptional quality of life.

Approachable, attentive, and deeply committed to his community, Mohamed wants to continue serving as a bridge between residents and their city. His goal is to ensure that the Le Carrefour district remains a vibrant, welcoming community that reflects the people who call it home.
