‘It’s no secret that Laval is open to the development of trade and industrial relations that are beneficial to companies in both of our nations,’ said Laval Technopole’s president
The City of Laval’s main economic development agency, Laval Technopole, has added an important new contact to a growing list of international connections potentially interested in doing business in the city’s industrial sector.
A delegation from the Russian-federated Republic of Tatarstan paid a visit to Laval Technopole’s Chomedey Blvd. offices in March. There the members were greeted by agency staff, as well as the president of the Laval Technopole board, city councillor and executive committee vice-president David De Cotis.
Laval is high-tech
“We are exponentially growing and establishing contacts with different countries, given that Laval is one of the leading high-tech cities in Quebec,” De Cotis said in an interview with the Laval News prior to meeting with the Tatarstan delegation. “We want to encourage companies to come here to set up their businesses and contribute to the economy of Laval,” added De Cotis.
